FAQ's

"How do I prepare for the shoot?"

Just shower and pick an outfit (I can advise) and show up ready to have fun.  I will guide you through the rest! You are welcome to bring 1 outfit change or a jacket/sweater/wrap.  I'll shoot a mix of candids and posed shots, but my goal is for this to be authentic and all about you.

"What do I do with my Senior Portraits?!"

Your senior can use the images for their yearbook page, social media, framed photos or acrylic desk blocks for family, announcement cards for graduation, graduation party invites, college acceptance cards, lawn signs, etc.

"What happens if it rains or snows?"

We'll touch base a few hours before our appointment and might need to reschedule if there is active rain or snow.  Try not to get anxious about the weather forecast as it often changes here in the mountains.  Some of my favorite shoots took place under threatening skies or with a rain shower earlier in the day!

"What kind of camera do you use?"

I use my NIKON DSLR D5200 with a 50mm lens (and my iPhone 13 Pro for social media content).  I will alternate between the two during a shoot.

 

"How long until I get the edited images?"

I aim to have the edited images back 2+ weeks from the shoot.  If you are in a hurry, we can do a $100 rush fee for a quicker turnaround of 1 week.  

 

"Do you do headshots for a business or school application?"

Sure!  Please refer to the Mini Sessions.  We can discuss if you'd like to shoot indoors or outdoors.

 

"Do you do events?"

Sure!  Rate is $450/hour (includes all edited digital images) for a minimum of 1 hour.  Non-profit discount is 20% off.

"How many people can I bring to my photo shoot?"

I assume you are bringing immediate family, up to 7 people.  If you plan to bring more, there will be an additional charge of $25 per person.

"When do I pay?"

Payment for the shoot is due 1 week prior to our appointment.  Payment for the digital photos, prints, etc. is due after I share the gallery with you.  My hope is that this pricing is affordable, simple and transparent.  Let me know if you have questions!

"What happens if I need to reschedule?"

Please note that you will be responsible for 100% of your session fee if you miss an appointment or cancel within 24 hours.  Please do your best to notify me in advance if you are unable to attend your appointment, and I will gladly find time to reschedule. 

"Do you ever share my photos on social media?"

I try to include a photo or two on my website and social media so my portfolio stays current.  I will never tag you or put your name on anything.
